MyFloatPlans
A free, digital U.S. Coast Guard–style float plan for recreational boaters.
What is a Float Plan?
A float plan is a document you leave with someone on shore before heading out on the water. It includes your vessel details, who’s on board, where you’re going, and when you expect to return. If something goes wrong, the Coast Guard and your emergency contact have the information they need to find you.
How MyFloatPlans Works
- Sign in with your Google account, Microsoft account, or an assigned username & password.
- Set up your boat(s) — vessel info, photo, safety equipment, and owner/operator details.
- Create a float plan before each trip — departure, destination, passengers, and return time.
- Share a permanent link with a loved one — they bookmark it once and always see your latest plan.
- Mark the trip complete when you return safely.
Your data is private — only you can see and manage your boats and plans. Shared links are read-only.
